Studi Penggunaan Obat Pada Pasien Gagal Jantung (Studi Dilakukan Di RSAL Dr. Ramelan Surabaya)

Heart failure is a clinical syndrome due to the inability of the heart to pump sufficient blood to meet the metabolic needs of the body. This study was aimed to study the use of drug on heart failure patient at Dr. Ramelan Navy hospital Surabaya from period January 1" to December 31" 2007. The main focus were on drug usage pattern and possibility of drug related problems. The data was collected using retrospective method from medication record and analyzed descriptively. The result of this study show that main drug given to the patient were ACEI, diuretic, f3 blocker, ARBs, aldosterone antagonism, digoxin. The dose was generally appropriate for each patient. Possibility of drug related problems were drug interaction and side effects of drug.
